Bridgid is the Program Development Manager at Committee for Children, a US-based non-profit whose mission is to foster the safety and well-being of children through social emotional learning (SEL) and development. For fourteen years, she has worked with a team of other developers and researchers to create research-based programs that teach self-regulation and social and emotional skills to children in developmentally and culturally appropriate ways. She led the organization’s revisions of all grade levels of its flagship SEL program, the Second Step Program. Bridgid was previously a teacher, a school counselor, prevention specialist and parent educator.
