Judge Ingram has been a Magistrate Judge in the 5th Judicial District of the State of Idaho since 2001. His judicial career has been marked by his advocacy for evidence-based interventions for juvenile offenders and the employment of restorative practices both in and out of the court system. Prior to going on the bench, Judge Ingram practiced law for nineteen years and was an early Idaho adopter of alternative dispute resolution models. In 2005, Ingram was named a Pioneer in Mediation by the Idaho Mediation Association. Since 2006 he has specialized in juvenile justice cases working in five counties in his judicial district. In 2014, he was appointed as the Idaho Court’s Director of Juvenile Justice within the Idaho Supreme Court’s administrative office. Judge Ingram is a graduate of Harvard College, Class of ’73 and obtained his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1982.
