John Cutro

John Cutro is a restorative practitioner, trainer and investigator in Albany, New York, USA, with experience ranging from multiple homicide death penalty cases to practice inquiry integrating the restorative, parallel justice and responsive regulation frameworks into diverse domains. As staff restorative practitioner with the NYS Defenders Association’s, he draws from the restorative, parallel justice, and responsive regulation frameworks, maintaining focus on the impact that trauma and affect-script psychology have on relationships and practice.  He uses an appreciative practice inquiry approach to collaborate with others in rediscovering what already works well, noticing why and connecting it with these and other frameworks and finding explicit ways of doing more of it while progressively displacing what isn’t.
